A task force set up to help workers affected by the closure of a meat-packing plant says most of them have found new jobs.
A total of 35 posts were at risk when Buccleuch Foods announced plans to shut the Castle Douglas site in January.
However, the multi-agency PACE team - led by Skills Development Scotland - said 28 of them had found employment.
Spokesman Ray Robertson said he remained hopeful of finding posts for the other workers involved.
